Confrontations within the church

In the book of Acts 15,  we read as to how Paul and Barnabas wanted to go back and visit the brethren in every city where they had preached the Word of the Lord , to see how they were doing. Now Barnabas was determined to take with him John called Mark.

But Paul insisted that they should Not take with them the one that departed from them while they were preaching in another city and had not gone with them to work. Then heated disagreements became so sharp that they parted from one another. So Barnabas took Mark and sailed to Cyprus, and Paul chose Silas and departed, being commended and approved by the brethren by the grace of God. And Paul went through Syria strengthening the churches.

So is it safe to say that before you confront another person in your church with a matter, to take someone else with you? What does the bible say?

2 Cor 13:1 This is the 3rd time I am coming to you Every matter must be established by the testimony of two or three witnesses.

Matt 18:15-17 But if he will not hear you take with you two or three witnesses, that when repeated every word can be established. And if he refuses to hear them, tell it to the church. And if he refuses to hear even the church, treat him as you would a non-believer and a publican.

So our next study will be… are we to treat non- believers….
