And it came to pass in those days, that there went out a decree from Caesar Augustus that All the World should be Taxed.

And this Taxing was first made when Cyrenius was Governor of Syria. 

And all went to be Taxed, every one into his own City. And Joseph also went out of the City of Nazareth into Judea in the City of David called Bethlehem. Because he was of the House of Israel and of the Bloodline of King David.

Joseph was to be Taxed with Mary his espoused wife, being great with Child.

Luke 2:1-5

And when they had come to Capernaum they (the Romans) that received Tribute Money (taxes to Gov) came to Peter and said, Don’t your Master pay Tribute ? And Peter responded Yes He Does. 

And When Peter came into the house Jesus asked What are you thinking Simon ? From who does the Kings of the Earth collect customs (taxes on goods and merchandise) and taxes: from their own children, or from Strangers?

Peter answered from Strangers. Jesus said, then this makes their children exempt. Lest we offend them, Peter go to the sea, cast a hook, take the first fish that comes up, open it’s mouth, and you shall find piece of money, take it and give to the Romans for ME and you. 

Matthew 17:24-27

Let it be known to the King that those of the House of Israel which came up from you to us into Jerusalem, have begun building this rebellious and bad City, setting up walls and Foundations.

Be it known to the King if this City is rebuilt and set up again, then the people of Israel will NOT pay toll, (Taxes paid to travel on a private roads) Tribute (Taxes to Gov) or Custom (taxes on goods/merchandise) so that the Royal Treasury will suffer.

Ezra 4:7-13, 20

And the separate cities for the children of Ephraim were among the inheritance of his brother ‘s children Manassah, with all the cities and their villages.

And they did NOT drive out the Canaanites (Africans) that dwelt in Gezer (a city in Israel) So the Canaanites (Africans) that dwelt among the Ephriamites (descendants of Joseph the son of Jacob) til this day to serve them under Tribute. (Taxes to the Gov)

Joshua 16:9-10

God helped Uzziah the King of Judah against the Philistines, against the Arabians that dwelt in Gurbaal and the Mehunims (pastoral desert people dwelling  within the African regions)

And the Ammonites (Lot’s descendants) brought tribute (taxes to Gov) to Uzziah: and his name spread abroad even to the entrance in Egypt Africa; strengthening himself greatly. For Uzziah built towers in Jerusalem at the corner gate, valley gate, at the turning wall building towers in the desert, digging many wells and fortifying them.

2 Chr 26:7-10

I Artaxerxer do make a decree to all my treasurers , that whatever Ezra the priest, the writer of the Law of GOD in Heaven says to you, do it quickly. For whatever is commanded by the God of Heaven must be done diligently for the House of Israel. For why should the Wrath of GOD fall on the realm of the King and his sons?

Be advised  that you have NO authority to impose toll (taxes to travel on private roads) tribute (taxes to Gov) customs (taxes on goods/merchandise) on them. And whoever does not do the Law of your GOD, the King,  let judgement be executed on him whether it be death, banishment confiscation of goods or imprisonment.

Ezra 7:21-26

So Jehoiakim gave the silver and gold to Pharaoh, but he taxed the land to give the money according to the commandment of Pharaoh. He exacted silver and gold of the people of the land everyone according to his wealth to give to Pharaoh.
